Clearwater foreclosure filings dropped by 61 percent in June compared to May, as the number of home sales continue to rise.
That is the latest report from RealtyTrac, which monitors foreclosures nationwide.

In Clearwater, the news is hopeful, even as the state as a whole leads the nation in foreclosure filings for the first half of 2013.
Foreclosure filings in Clearwater are not only down month over month but also 56 percent lower than in June 2012.
There are currently 2,389 properties in Clearwater that are in some stage of foreclosure.
The number of homes listed for sale on RealtyTrac is 1,317.”
